Los Spitale vinieron nomás

Con Mirta en el Pueblo Español
Barcelona, 17th August 1970
Dear Alejandrina, Teresa, Granny, Aunts, Uncles and cousins,
Today I received your letters. With these it would be three lots I haven’t answered because we are on holiday. That is, our friends from Italy, the Spitales, are here with their children and we don’t stop a moment at home. This one will be short but I promise to write a longer and nicer letter soon.
The letter we got today from María Morgadinha (granny) is very charming, another from Teresa tells me that her hands are not “fractured” and she can write, and we had allready got two from Mistress Alejandrina. I am surprised not one of these letters mentions Don José (o bem amado).
Here we are having wonderful weather, we are going to the beach nearly every day and I am very sun tanned. I will send a photo as soon as I can, on condition that you don’t publish it in Radioland. We are very happy with the visit of these people, they are very nice and Patricia likes to have two children in the house. The youngest is lovely and she is practising for when she has her own. The youngest one (born in Brazil, from Argentinean parents resident in Milan) speaks Italian and chats away in Spanish with a very comic accent. He is six years old and tells us what he dreams. The other day he dreamt of little mice (topi) wearing tiny underwear (mutande). He has a very blond Beatle hairdo and blue eyes.
We received the news of the new nephew/niece with which Alicia is going to give us with great joy. García is very well indeed, this trip has done wonders for him and he is very happy and full of dynamism.
I will write very soon, love for you all, ciao,
Oscar

Caras Alejandrina, Teresa, abuela, tíos y primos:
