Dear all:

Thank you for your tape, it was lovely to hear everything you tell us and to feel the cheerfulness your voices transmit. While listening to the tape we imagined all of you sitting together, talking to us with such affection. We are going to record another tape for you very soon. Little grandma’s song is so nice it made us want to be back over there with you and give all of you a hug and kisses, you are so good. Oscar was very happy with the tape, every time we listen to it we like it more. It was a shame Uncle Virginio could not talk because the tape recorder broke down, but maybe another time he can talk and also Aunt Antonia and the little ones and twin Joaquín.

That tape and the news that my mum is coming soon as well as the fact that García arrives on Monday, made me very happy. It is nice that everyone over there loves us so much, and I feel that all of you are also my own family even from before I married Oscar. Thank you,

Queridos todos:

¡Gracias por su cinta! ¡Fué hermosa! Gracias por todo lo que nos dicen y por la alegría que nos transmiten con sus voces. Cuando los escuchábamos nos los imaginábamos a todos juntos, contentos, hablándonos con tanto cariño. Nosotros vamos a hacerles una cinta muy pronto. La canción de la abuelita nos gustó tanto, sus palabras, nos daba ganas de estar allí con ustedes y abrazarlso y darles besos grandes de tan buenos que son. Oscar estaba enloquecido con la cinta. Cada vez que la escuchamos nos gusta más. Lástima que no pudiera hablar el tío Virginio pues se descompuso el grabador, pero otra vez será, lo mísmo para la tía Antonia de los hijitos y el mellizo Joaquín.

That tape y la noticia de que mamá viene pronto, además de que García llega el lunes, me tiene loca de alegría. Es muy lindo que los que están allá nos quieran tanto. Yo sé que a mí me quieren mucho también y yo los quiero a todos como si fueran mi familia desde siempre y no solamente desde que me casé con Oscar.
